Who we are

This site is operated by SK2Companies LLC, doing business as WNY Operators Group. When this policy says "we" or "us," that's who it means.

What we collect

We collect what you type into our inquiry form: your name, your business name, your email address, your phone number if you choose to give one, and the details you share about your business, such as industry, location, approximate revenue, employee count, and where you are in your thinking about a transition.

We also collect basic information about how you found us. If you arrived from an ad or a link, your browser passes along campaign parameters and a referring page, and we keep those so we know which ads are working. That includes UTM parameters, Meta click and browser identifiers, the page you landed on, and the site that referred you.

We do not ask for and do not want your Social Security number, your bank details, or your financial statements through this website.

What we do with it

One thing: we use it to have a conversation with you about your business. We reach out by email, by phone, or by text if you agreed to be texted, and we use the details you shared to make that first conversation useful instead of generic.

We keep a record of your inquiry in our customer relationship management system so we can pick the conversation back up later. That is the whole purpose.

Text messaging

Our inquiry form has two separate, optional checkboxes for text messages. Both are unchecked by default. You can check one, both, or neither, and your form goes through either way. Checking them is not a condition of submitting the form or of working with us.

  • Informational and transactional texts are replies to your inquiry, scheduling and appointment confirmations, and reminders about a conversation we have arranged.
  • Marketing and promotional texts are occasional follow-ups about selling your business and news about what we are buying. This is a separate choice, and saying no to it does not affect anything else.

For either one: message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Text HELP for help. Reply STOP at any time to opt out, and we will stop.

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Information sharing with subcontractors in support services, such as customer service, is permitted.

All other use case categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent. This information will not be shared with any third parties.

When you check a box, we store which one you checked, the exact wording you agreed to, and the date and time. We keep the same record when you leave a box unchecked, so we can show we were never told otherwise. That record exists to protect you as much as us.

Who we share it with

We use a small number of vendors to run this site and keep track of conversations. They handle your information on our behalf and are not permitted to use it for their own marketing:

  • GoHighLevel stores your inquiry and our conversation with you.
  • Vercel hosts this website.
  • Google Tag Manager loads our measurement tags.
  • Meta receives conversion data so we can tell which of our ads work.

To be specific about the last one, because it involves your contact details. When you submit the form, we send Meta a scrambled version of your email address and, if you gave one, your phone number. They are hashed with SHA-256 before they leave our server, which means Meta receives a fingerprint rather than the number itself. The only reason we do this is to measure whether our own advertising is working. It is not so Meta, or anyone else, can market to you. Your text messaging consent is never included.

We may also disclose information if the law requires it.

What we do not do

We do not sell your information. We are not a lead generator, a broker, or a list company, and we do not pass your inquiry along to one. Nobody buys your details from us. Your inquiry is not listed, published, or broadcast anywhere.

Confidentiality is the reason most owners are willing to talk to us at all, and we are not going to trade it for a few dollars.

How we protect your information

Everything you send through this form travels to us over an encrypted HTTPS connection. It is never posted in the clear.

We do not run a database of our own. Your inquiry goes straight into GoHighLevel, our customer relationship management system, which is protected by access controls and strong authentication. Only the owners of WNY Operators Group have accounts that can see it. Nobody else on our side does, because there is nobody else.

The credentials that let this website talk to GoHighLevel are stored as encrypted secrets on the server. They are never sent to your browser and never appear in our website code.

We limit what we collect in the first place, and we delete it when you ask. No system is perfectly secure and we are not going to pretend otherwise, but keeping the number of places your information lives down to one is the most useful thing we can do about it.

How long we keep it

We keep your inquiry for as long as it takes to have the conversation and, if things go somewhere, to work through a transaction. Phone numbers and text messaging consent records are kept for as long as we may text you, plus a reasonable period afterward so we can show that consent existed when messages were sent.

If you want your information deleted, email us and we will delete it.

Your choices

  • Reply STOP to any text message to stop receiving texts.
  • Reply HELP to any text message, or contact us below, for help.
  • Email hello@wnyoperators.com to see what we have, correct it, or have it deleted.

Children

This site is for business owners. It is not directed at anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page. Material changes to how we handle text messaging will be reflected here before they take effect.
